Gear Review: Buff Headgear

I’m generally not very excitable (it’s a bad trait when you fly helicopters or fall out of airplanes), but sometimes the littlest things get me going. The Buff is one of those things. It’s just so darn useful…hat, bandana, headband, scarf, face mask, pot holder, wash cloth. Plus it only weighs a couple of ounces, wads up smaller than a paper towel, and comes in something like 2,000,000,000,000,000 colorful print choices.
What else is there to say? Watch the video, go to their website, and buy one. No, this is not a paid advertisement, but if they had an affiliate program I’d put them on my site and pay myself every time I bought one.
Seriously, there is not much to say about the Buff. The genius is in their simplicity. As small and light as they are, there is no reason not to throw one in your kit. They come in summer weight and winter weight, using combinations of Coolmax, Polartec, and other microfibers for exceptional wicking capability, sun and wind protection, and heat regulation. Want them customized with your company logo? Yeah, they do that too.
Where to get your Buff:
You can order direct from Buff.
Amazon.com also has a good selection of print choices: Buff at Amazon
REI has a smaller selection such as:
Buff High UV Protection Buff
Buff Original Buff
Buff UV Buff with Insect Shield
