3 Things You Must Do Before You Look for a House

For today’s Real Estate Report, I will focus on the three things a home buyers should do before they get in the car and start looking at houses. Most people and Realtors start out with price and location, but this is your house so you need to go a lot deeper than that! The last thing you want to do is to move into your new home and say, “Oops, this isn’t what I wanted!” This video will show you how to take some of the stress out of home buying so you can focus on what is most important–buying the right house for you!
- Get Pre-Qualified for a Loan. But this is a buyer’s market, so does this matter? You bet it does!
- Make a Top 5 List of What You Are Looking For. There is no perfect house and you’d be surprised how easy it is to forget something important.
- Narrow Down the Location with the “How Do You Live” Exercise. Most people forget to consider how their lifestyle should affect their home choice.
Your Realtor is only as good as the information they have about you. Make sure you sit down with them and go over each of these items before you start driving around town.
