Review: Insight Firearms Training

Insight LogoWell, I had the opportunity to do something a bit different last week.  I was invited to attend the Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor Course at Insight Firearms Training in Prescott, AZ, and since I’ve always enjoyed shooting and firearms I could hardly turn down the offer!  We used Insight for marksmanship and basic tactics training when I was in the Air Force, and I have always been impressed with their professionalism, training techniques, and results.  If shooting one hole groups or splitting a business card edge on is important to you, then you may want to give the folks at Insight a try.

Founded by the sharpshooting husband and wife team of Matt and Sherry Seibert, Insight offers a variety of courses from basic marksmanship to concealed carry licensing classes to advanced reactive target and instinct shooting courses.  However, their signature course is Mental Dynamics of Marksmanship.  Mental Dynamics captures more than thirty years of firearms and teaching experience, blends it with their extensive research on the physiology & psychology of shooting, a good bit of “open trance” hypnotics, and provides the student an entertaining and highly informative educational experience.  I would guarantee that the course will make you a better shooter, but I don’t have to since all of their courses are offered with a no-nonsense money back guarantee.  Several of their courses are offered only to Law Enforcement and military personnel, but there is plenty for civilians to choose from.

Matt and Sherry have recently begun training Law Enforcement agencies around the country, but most of their training is still conducted in Prescott.  If you live within a days drive of Prescott and are looking for quality firearms training then I would definitely recommend you check out Insight Firearms Training.  If you are in Tucson then check out my shooting school at  We can head to the range and I’ll give you a taste of what they have to offer.
